HRC San Antonio was a proud sponsor of the annual Spirit of Texas Brunch held May 17th at the beautiful Sunset Station. The keynote speaker this year was the incomparable Kate Clinton.
This year's honorees included Roberto Flores and Dan Graney as the recipients of the Becky Cross Anchor Award. Judge Barbara Nellermoe received the Advocate Award. Read More »
San Antonio's LGBT community and supporters turned out for the May 26th Day of Decision at Hemisphere Park. The peaceful protesters took to the streets and marched to the Alamo as HRC and friends let their voices be heard regarding the disappointing decision handed down by California's Supreme Court. Almost 100 people turned out to support HRC San Antonio's Bowling for Equality event at Bandera Super Bowl. Bowlers and non-bowlers enjoyed an afternoon or pizza, beverages, bowling, mingling, and music by DJ Traci. Thanks to all who participated!

Celebrants gathered at Luther’s Café in San Antonio to toast the first 100 days of the Obama Administration. Amidst free appetizers and drink specials provided by Luther’s, the local Federal Club co-chairs, Darrell Parsons and Brandon Hughes, spoke about the current issues affecting the LGBT community and how HRC is working these issues through Congress. This event was one of many in a nationally coordinated effort by HRC to highlight the political agenda ahead and the important work of the Federal Club chapters.
